Applications need to be postmarked by May 31. After that, an additional late fee of $100 will apply for those with a postmark after May 31 and none will be accepted after June 7. Applications that come in without all of the fees will not be accepted. All applications need to be approved by the board.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, July 4 after the pre-parade, which steps off at 8:30 a.m. The 2 1/2 mile long route takes about two hours to complete.
The theme of the 2016 Fourth of July parade: Celebrating 80 years of the greatest parade on earth. One of the largest homecoming celebrations in the country, the parade includes families, schools, groups and businesses. Parade applications are available on line at www.racine4thfest.org or at the following locations:

- Sew N Save, 3701 Durand Avenue
- Volunteer Center-Racine, 6216 Washington Avenue
