Family, friends and fans of Racine’s Post Prom will once again get to watch red carpet arrivals.

After being televised for years, the 2014 event was not, and disappointed hundreds, if not thousands, who couldn’t stream the arrivals live online. This year, though, the big night will be back on TV, a story in The Journal Times reads.

Post Prom Chair Laura DeGroot told the newspaper that My24TV will begin broadcasting at 8 p.m. Saturday from Festival Hall.

“We realized it wasn’t up to par and we were disappointed in the reception. We tested it and it worked fine and then the night of, it didn’t work fine,” DeGroot is quoted as saying. “It was disappointing for everyone.”

Almost 2,000 students from eight schools are expected to attend, dubbed the World’s Biggest Prom.
