It’s still a few weeks off, but boaters and anglers should note that the Fischer Boat Launch on Browns Lake is closing Sept. 17 for reconstruction. Here is the full press release from Racine County: There will be a full closure of the Fischer Park Boat Launch on Browns Lake for reconstruction work scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. The project should be completed by mid-October,depending upon weather conditions. During construction, there will be no access into or out of Brown’s Lake fromthis boat launch in order to get the project done as quickly as possible. The project is being partially funded with a Wisconsin DNR Recreational Boating Facilities grant. The contractor for the reconstruction project is Siegler Grading & Excavating, LLC.
