A 26-year-old Mount Pleasant man will almost certainly face drug charges after overdosing on heroin Thursday.
Mount Pleasant police say officers responded at 4:16 p.m. to a residence in the 2100 block of Rivera Drive for a report of a possible heroin overdose.
When police and rescue crews from South Shore Fire Department arrived, they found a man unconscious with a needle in his hand. Deputies from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department also responded and administered Narcan.
The man was treated by SSFD and transported to the emergency room at Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s.
Police are investigating this incident and say that “criminal charges are forthcoming.”
