Officials with the Caledonia Police Department are searching for the operator of a BMW who struck a parked car in the 4700 block of Alcyn Drive at 3 a.m. Thursday, May 28.

The suspect crashed the “space gray” colored BMW 3 into a parked car, then left the scene. Officers found car parts at the scene, a trail of vehicle fluid and car parts blocks away from the scene. They followed the trail of fluid to 4 1/2 Mile and Middle road, according to a press release by the Caledonia Police Department.

The car is believed to be a model made between 2007 and 2011. The front passenger side has damage, including: a missing or broken fog lamp, bumper, lower grill and side marker reflector.
