Hitters Baseball Academy has opened its new facility at 2915 West 6 1/2 Mile Rd. in Raymond.

Owner RJ Fergus said he currently trains about 350 students at the baseball academy, which is at capacity.

The new 33,000 square-foot building allows Fergus to serve up to 600 students.

The facility also features a second level. In total, the building will have 41,000 square-feet of teaching, weight training and playing area.
