The weather outside is frightful … frightfully windy, and the gustiness isn’t expected to settle down until noon Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts at John Batten Airport were clocked at 43 miles per hour around 7:30 p.m. Monday. Only Milwaukee’s Timmerman Airport recorded similar wind speeds.

Forecasts keep windy conditions around until about noon Tuesday with gusts dying down to around 30 mph. Weather predictions also put temperatures around 58 with mostly sunny skies.
