After almost 100 animals were seized this week from a shelter and two residences, the Wisconsin Humane Society is gratefully accepting donations to help care for them.

To make it easier for both the staff and volunteers at WHS’s three campuses – Mount Pleasant, Grafton, Milwaukee – and residents who want to hep, the organization has set up an Amazon wish list.

Included in the list are things like paper towels, peppermint flavored tug toys, snacks, food, chew toys, bleach, trash bags, and cleaning sprays. The list works much like a gift registry; donors can choose to purchase directly from Amazon or they can click an item and indicate they will buy it elsewhere and drop it off.

From the Wisconsin Humane Society Facebook page:

Many of you have asked about donating supplies for these animals. If you’re able to purchase a dog toy, treats or other supplies, please use our shipping address in Racine (2706 Chicory Road, Racine, WI 53403) and make sure to comment on the Amazon form with your name and email/mailing address so we can properly thank you). We are so grateful for the outpouring of community support – these dogs need your help and we couldn’t do this without you all!

Love what we do?

In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education. If this is important to you, please consider donating to our education reporting fund. https://business.facebook.com/donate/1846323118855149/3262802717172659/
