The beginning of high school can be a mix of excitement and nerves, so the Racine Unified Summer Bridge program was developed to help incoming freshmen feel more comfortable and confident on their first day of school.
In addition to taking a tour of the school and learning about important locations like sub-school offices, the cafeteria, the gym and certain classrooms, students will also meet some of their teachers and learn more about the classes they’ll be taking; participate in study skills workshops and get a jump on what kind of career they might want to pursue.
Summer Bridge is offered at Case, Horlick and Park high schools and runs from July 25 – 28 from either 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The program is free and transportation will be provided.
