Irene R.  Hunter, 86, passed away on Sunday at Casa Del Mare’ in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  She was born in Racine on April 20, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (Nee:  Seitz) Mansell.

Irene was a longtime and faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where on November 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to Carl E. Hunter.  He preceded her in death on December 30, 2014.  She loved and devoted her life to her family and especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Ron Hunter, Peggy (Rob) Zurawski, Jeffrey Hunter (Shari Sariri); her grandchildren, Alex and Stacey; her great grandson, Wyatt Zurawski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Walter (Arlene) Mansell, Eugene (Adeline) Mansell, Louise (Dale) Landon, Grace (Louis) Dresen, Ruth (Richard) Botting.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Ricardo Martin officiating.  Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Caledonia.  Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m.  Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church have been suggested.
