Kids can experience the excitement of competition as part of this year’s Ironman 70.3 Racine triathlon weekend. The Ironkids Fun Run, presented by United Healthcare, starts at 8 a.m. THIS Saturday morning at Racine’s North Beach Park, 100 Kewaunee St.

Open to all kids, ages 3 through 15, Ironkids is a 1-mile or quarter-mile run that encourages kids to enjoy the outdoors and promotes healthy living. The $15 entry fee includes a race bib, finisher shirt or trucker hat, medal, goody bag and the kids’ pride in calling themselves an Ironkid.

Register in person from 2-7 p.m. THIS Friday at Festival Hall, 5 Fifth St. or at North Beach starting at 7 a.m. Saturday. Save time with online registration at www.ironkids.com
