Joseph Walker

Looking to rob the place, two masked men walked into the American Legion, 1234 Douglas Ave., but they ended up shooting and killing Joseph Walker, the bartender.

Five years later, the suspects in the case remain at large, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

One suspect was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and white shoes. The other suspect wore a hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes. Both men are described as being between 20 and 30 years old.

“The crime remains unsolved,” the press release reads. “The Racine Police Department remains committed to finding those responsible for this senseless crime and holding them accountable.  In June of 2014, a cash reward was offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible.  Rewards remain available.”

Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this crime.  Any witnesses, or citizens with information, are urged to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at (262) 635-7756.
