Joshua Sopczak was named lender of the year through Business Lending Partners (BLP). For his commitment and high performance, Sopczak was presented with the award for his work as a commercial lender for Tri-City National Bank.

Each year, BLP chose a lender of the year who exemplifies the core values of the company. A commercial lender with Tri-City National bank for five years, Sopczak has built a book of business in the Racine, Kenosha, and Milwaukee Metro markets. Tri-City is a nationwide bank with several locations in Racine County.

Sopczak learned about the RCEDC – Racine County Economic Development Corporation‘s Lender of the Year award from Business Lending Partners.

“I’d like to thank Carolyn Engel and the BLP team for all their great teamwork (as well as putting up with my antics!), Tri City National Bank for creating a workplace that encourages me to serve the full spectrum of needs of our community, and my clients for their instilled trust by partnering with me for their banking needs,” Sopczak said.

Working with the Small Business Association’s Certified Development Company resources, community funding partnerships, and other programs helped Sopczak widen the base of who he could effectively serve.

“I challenge my community’s lenders to try to beat me in 2018, as doing so would simply mean we’re all doing our very best to help develop, restore, and redefine our hometowns!” he said.
