The Junior League of Racine has announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2019 annual scholarship program.
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in the spring to one female who has demonstrated a commitment to volunteering that lives in Racine County and attends a Racine County high school.
The nonprofit group is an organization with membership of women of all ages, races, religions, and national origins who share an interest in and commitment to volunteerism.
The scholarship applications will be assessed by community partners on volunteerism and not financial need. Applicants must plan to attend a four-year accredited college or university and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. The scholarship application is available at https://www.jlracine.org/scholarship/ and must be postmarked by March 15.
The Junior League of Racine is celebrating over 100 years of service in Racine. With 200 active members, Junior League promotes and celebrates a range of backgrounds, interests, and careers paths. Members give over 2,000 uncompensated hours annually.
