Supporters of the Racine County Sheriff K9 program turned out in big numbers Sunday to raise over $12,000 at a spaghetti dinner at Wells Brothers Pizza.

Funds will be used for training and maintenance of the K9 partner units in the RCSD.

A written release from the Sheriff’s Department confirmed that 515 dinners were served during the five-hour event.

“The outpouring of support by this community is extremely gratifying,” said Sheriff Chris Schmaling. “The proceeds from this event will enhance the capablilities of our K9 unit and allow us to better serve our community.”
