A fire that started in the kitchen of an apartment in the 3600 block of Douglas Avenue caused $12,000 in damage but didn’t cause an injuries.
Racine fire fighters were called at 4:43 p.m. Saturday for a report of a fire on the second floor of a building in the 3600 block of Douglas Avenue. When they arrived, they had to force entry and extinguished a small kitchen fire.
No one was home at the time, and no one was injured.
The fire caused approximately $12,000 in damage and is under investigation.
