The Launch Box co-working space at Gateway Technical College will be closed effective November 30, according to an email sent out to members.

Officials cited that they had lost grant funding for the program, which offered free office space to entrepreneurs.

“Gateway Technical College has had a long history of supporting entrepreneurs through our academic courses, clubs, and community-oriented events,” wrote Matthew Janisin, Ed.D., Vice-President – Business & Workforce Solutions. “However, because of the loss of funding, we have made the tough decision to close the Launch Box Co-Working Space at our Racine Campus.”

But officials assured members that it would continue offering workshops and support services through Biz Squad.

The Launch Box co-working space moved from 141 Main St. to space at Gateway Technical College, 1001 S. Main St. in 2016.
