A crash involving a Racine Public Library Book Mobile, a Dodge truck and a SUV resulted in at least one person injured in a crash that happened at about noon on Tuesday.
Racine Police had the intersection blocked off at Marquette and State streets as rescue workers from the Racine Fire Department transported at least one person to the Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare — All Saints emergency room.
The SUV, which appeared as though it was changing lanes, crashed into book mobile and into the Dodge Ram, which was traveling northbound on Marquette St. The person injured was the passenger in the Dodge truck. The book mobile was stopped at the stop light.
This is an ongoing investigation. No word yet on who was at fault. We’ll update the story when we receive more information.
Editor’s note: this version of the story has been corrected to reflect that the SUV crashed into the book mobile and the Dodge truck, and had been stopped at the stop light. We regret making the error.
