St. Lucy Festival
St. Lucy’s Catholic Church will be hosting its annual festival on July 8, 9, and 10. This family-friendly event is packed full of activities. Located at 3035 Drexel Ave. in Racine, the St. Lucy festival has been called one of Racine’s best festivals for numerous years.
What’s in store for this year? The Mighty Meat Sweepstakes, Grand Prize Sweepstakes, silent auctions, crafts, food, beer, soda, rummage sale, and more. For the first time this year, they will have a farmers market.
Grand Prize Sweepstakes prizes announced
This year’s grand prize is $5,000. The first, second, and third prizes are $1,000 apiece. Fourth and fifth prizes are $500 a piece. Sixth through ninth prizes are $250 each.
Event Dates and Details
On July 8, dinner will kick off at 4 p.m. and go until 7 p.m., and fish fry will be served. The Eddie Butts Band will play from 7 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Additionally, the bakery will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bingo will be played from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the St. Lucy Festival grounds. There will be crafts and raffles from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for entertainment.
On July 9th, the Doo-Wop Daddies will take the St. Lucy Festival stage from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Following their performance, Mt. Olive will play from 7 pm. until 10:30 p.m. The famed meat sweepstakes will take place from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday. The bakery will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. but there will not be a formal dinner. Bingo will be back for the second night from 5 p.m until 9 p.m. and the crafts and raffles will be back from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. that evening.
The festival will wrap up on Sunday, July 10. The final day will begin at 11:30 and conclude at 9:30. While it is the last day of the festival, the day will be packed full of fun. Southbound will play from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. followed by Chicago Tribute Anthology, who will play from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.
There will be a formal dinner from 11: 30 a.m. until 5 p.m. where mostaccioli and meatballs will be served. Bingo will be played from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. and kids’ bingo will be from noon until 1 p.m. The famed meat sweepstakes will take place from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Crafts and raffles will be taking place from 1 to 3 p.m. and you can shop the bakery from 11:30 a.m. until sold out.
