RYDE Racine seeks to provide safe, reliable, and convenient transit service to those in greater Racine by facilitating fixed-route service for the general public and specialized paratransit service for the elderly and disabled in order to enhance the quality of life and economic competitiveness in the greater Racine region.
RYDE Racine services include:
- Fixed Route Transit
- Nine routes: Every 60 minutes, extra peak service 30 minutes
- One additional route for school service
- Commuter bus to Milwaukee and Kenosha
DART โ Dial-A-Ride-Transit
On-demand paratransit service for persons with disabilities within ยพ of a mile of a bus stop
Local communities, the federal government, and the State of Wisconsin work together to provide support for these services. These governmental bodies are strong partners in the planning, financing, and operation of RYDE Racine. As part of this collaborative effort, public funding is used to support both operating and capital investment. The state is the major contributor to Racine’s transit operating and capital budget, and without its support reductions in service would be inevitable.
