A popular food tour company in Milwaukee is expanding here for a pizza-centric food tour featuring four eateries; three of which have been locally owned and operated for decades.

The Racine Pizza Bus Tour kicked off Saturday and featured stops at Wells Brothers, Infusino’s, Derango’s and the new Third Coast Woodfire Pizza and Pub as well as a dessert stop at Divino Gelato on Main Street.

In its description of the Racine tour, Milwaukee Food Tours promises a delicious and informative time.

“Due to the popularity of our original Pizza Bus route in Milwaukee, we’ve expanded to Racine to highlight the most historic pies in town!” the website reads. “As with all of our tours, we’ll find our way through historic neighborhoods and point out interesting city factoids and landmarks along the way.”

Tours are scheduled at 11 a.m. every Saturday and are three hours long. The cost $55 per person and includes transportation to and from a central location; samples – and patrons are warned that servings are large – beverages, and dessert. The tour is not handicapped accessible, and guests should be prepared to walk up and down the steps of the bus to come and go at each tour stop.

Advanced purchase is required. Visit http://www.milwaukeefoodtours.com to reserve a space on upcoming tours.
