The Santa in a Shoebox tree is slowly seeing its “branches” fill up at Malicki’s Piggly Wiggly, 5201 Washington Avenue. Check back here frequently for updates. We’ll post more photos and watch the boxes pile up together because if the Racine County Eye community does anything, it’s help out in ways big and small. Donations for male and female adults, teens, kids and babies – either boxed or not – can be dropped off until Dec. 16 at Piggly Wiggly or at Racine Harley-Davidson, 1155 Oakes Road. Over 800 boxes were delivered in 2013 to individuals throughout Racine County. Volunteer Santas will deliver packages starting Dec. 18. For more information, visit the Santa in a Shoebox Facebook page.

Love what we do?

In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education. If this is important to you, please consider donating to our education reporting fund. https://business.facebook.com/donate/1846323118855149/3262802717172659/
