Checkers is a three-legged bunny who would be hoppy to find her furever home.

She is currently living at the Wisconsin Humane Society and getting along nicely after having her left rear leg amputated. Checkers arrived at WHS with factures too severe to repair so doctors made the choice to amputate to give Checkers the best chance at a long and healthy life.

Checkers is a 5-year-old Rex rabbit and is described as sweet and lovable.

“(She) is one of the sweetest, softest bunnies you’ll meet. She may need to take it easy for a few days as she adjusts to having more space to explore, but Checkers now looks forward to a happy life ahead,” WHS spokesperson Angela Speed said.

Checkers is sponsored by Havahart. Havahart prides themselves in giving excellent customer service. You can visit them at 6500 Washington Ave., in Mount Pleasant. Or call them at (262) 886-5656.
