Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.
That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.
And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.
Nonprofit Mission and Vision Statements
Together, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. – Mission
Please provide a paragraph or so about what your organization does in the community. Include any recent achievements, projects, and goals.
Since our founding in 1984, more than 6,700 children and their families throughout the state have experienced the life-changing power of a wish. This year, Make-A-Wish® Wisconsin granted more wishes than ever before – 402 wishes. But there is still more work to be done. More than 500 Wisconsin children will be diagnosed this year alone with a medical condition, qualifying them for a wish
What would you like the general public to know about your organization and ways they can help/support you?
We are in need of more Wish-Granting volunteers to help us make wishes come true in both Racine and Kenosha counties. Wish Granters act as liaisons between wish children and the Make-A-Wish® office. A wish granter meets with the wish child and his or her family to help brainstorm what could be the child’s one, special wish.
