Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.
That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.
And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.
A Mount Pleasant man is charged with burglary, for a break-in and theft at Sound Decisions, 1144 S. Airline Road, in Mount Pleasant.
The owner of the business called police on Nov. 26, saying he found the front door glass had been broken and change and checks were strewn about inside, according to the criminal complaint. The cash drawer was missing, and video from overnight showed a distinctive vehicle pulling up, followed by a brick going through the glass window.
Then, a man – later identified as Daniel Sanger, 54 – is seen coming inside and taking the cash drawer, the brick, and then leaving the business in the same vehicle.
The owner of the business recognized the vehicle and said they had performed work on the car earlier in the year.
Sanger made his initial appearance on the charges today.
