A Racine man was arrested Thursday after he stole narcotics from and threatened to kill the mother of his child. Police responded to a home on the 2300 block of Meacham Street just after midnight Thursday morning. The victim recently gave birth, and had just arrived home from the hospital. She was prescribed 30 oxycodone pills, which were stolen shortly after her arrival home. She thought it was the father of her child, Ricardo Maldonado, 17. When she confronted him using Facebook, he threatened to shoot her and her father. Police later arrested Maldonado who admitted to stealing the pills, and said, “I was trippin,” when asked about the threats. He’s being charged with felony possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs and theft. He’s being held on a $5,000 bond.
