A 41-year-old man convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a child has moved into Caledonia, according to the Caledonia Police Department.

Paul Puchter, who is currently on federal probation for failing to register as a sex offender, was convicted was convicted of sexually assaulting a juvenile female in 2005. Puchter lives at a residence in the 4300 block of Newman Road.

According to a press release, because his immediate family has lived in Caledonia for more than two years, he isn’t in violation of the Village’s sex offender residency restriction.
