A Racine man has been taken into custody on charges that he fired several shots at people at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 29.

Javoeni Dariel Henry, 29, is charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office on Monday with three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety. According to the criminal complaint, police were sent to the 1900 block of Mead Street, for a report of shots being fired.

Officers found shell casings in the middle of the intersection of DeKoven Avenue and Mead Street, with witnesses reporting a white car coming to the intersection, and someone firing from inside the vehicle.

Police were able to identify the vehicle, which listed to Henry. On Thursday, police found Henry and arrested him on outstanding warrants.

An investigator spoke to Henry at the jail, according to the complaint. He reportedly told police he had been in the area that day.
