A Mount Pleasant man has died after he crashed the truck he was driving into a train on Highway K near Highway H in Franksville.

Andrew Lawrence, 33, suffered from severe head trauma and was taken by a Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Lawrence was ejected from the truck, according to officials with the Caledonia Police Department.

The crash happened at 11:35 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators don’t believe the crash was intentional. However, they are waiting for the results of a toxicology report to see if Lawrence was impaired at the time.

Lawrence never regained consciousness following the crash.
