Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.

That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.

And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.

Marty Robbin Davis, 31, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Dallas, TX, December 6, 1987 son of Robbin Davis and Lucinda Donner and had moved to Racine in 1994.

Marty was loved and cherished by many. He made an impact wherever he went especially when children were involved. He was always willing to help in any way he could. He could fix anything and used that gift to benefit others. He enjoyed the outdoors, animals and fixing things and he had a unique sense of humor. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his children and words cannot express how much he will missed.

Surviving are his mother, Lucinda Donner; 3 daughters, Janessa, Kyrstin, Kiera and their mother, Crystal Schramm; his son, Kashton and his mother Taylor Ostrowski; siblings, Justin (Alicia) Nixon and Brittanny Davis; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robbin Davis; grandparents, Virgil and Elaine Donner, Judith Devalle and Thomas Davis.
