Jarhead might seem like an odd name for a dog, but considering this little guy was mistaken for a girl named Jen, we think his name fits him just right.

At just about a year old and 35 pounds, Jarhead still has some growing to do. The folks at HOPE Safehouse say he’s a lab mix and gets along great with everyone he meets.

“Bad name, I know. This is Jarhead. He was supposed to be a female named Jen – oops. Don’t even ask,” a HOPE representative told us. “He is a super sweet labby type mix and loves everyone!”

If you’d like to make Jarhead a permanent member of your family, call HOPE Safehouse at (262) 634-4571, email them at hopesafehouse@gmail.com or visit www.hopesafehouse.org.
