Hey, Mister, Mister … needs a purrfect furever home to give him the best years of his life. You can check out his page here.
Mister is a handsome, 7-year-old red tabby in need of a family who understands the specific health issues associated with Feline leukemia virus (FeLV), a fatal illness spread between cats. Mister is not showing any signs of the disease.
“Potential adopters should be aware of the risk to other cats as well as the realities of a shortened life span for him,” Wisconsin Humane Society spokesperson Angela Speed said. “WHS is looking for an adopter who does not have other cats, or has FeLV+ cats and will be able to give him a comfortable home in the time he has remaining.”
There is no treatment for FeLV just symptom management.
Is your family the furever home Mister needs for the remaining years of his life? Contact the Racine campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society at (262) 554-6699.
