Journalism. We believe it should help you live a better life.

That’s why we spend a lot less time on publishing mug shots and a lot more time helping you understand the employment market, figure out how to spend more time with friends and family with our events calendar, and what you can do to help businesses that have opened up. Make no mistake…we aren’t shy. We tackle the big stuff, like COVID and issues around race.

And if you believe in the value of journalism — that it should help, not exploit — please consider becoming a paid member of the Racine County Eye today. We can’t do this work without you.

How this sweet, playful pup ended up on the streets of Racine is anyone’s guess, but she was rescued and now Salsa needs a furever home.

Because Salsa has been too long at the Wisconsin Humane Society, she is considered a benchwarmer, and her adoption fee is just $25. Learn more about her by following this link.

“Playful, affectionate and attentive, Salsa is an all-around great pup!” WHS spokesperson Angela Speed said. “Despite Salsa’s truly wonderful disposition, she still has not found her forever home.”

Salsa has been spayed, has all of her shots and has been microchipped.

If you think your family could be the furever family this loving and energetic dog needs, call the Racine campus of the Wisconsin Humane Society at (262) 554-6699.
