Four men were arrested Monday for kidnapping an employee of Wells Fargo Bank so that they could rob Wells Fargo Bank, 1700 Martin Luther King Drive, at 6:42 a.m. June 29.
William Howell, 19, Donterious Robb, 23, George Pearson-Robb, 19, and Lamarra Powell, 18, were arrested for robbery to a financial institution and kidnapping. Charges have been referred to the Racine County District Attorney’s Office, but none of the men have been formally charged.
Investigators with the Racine Police Department, FBI, Kenosha Police Department, and the Milwaukee Police Department Robbery Task Force were involved in the case, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.
“During the course of this investigation, it was discovered the above individuals held an employee of Wells Fargo Bank overnight so that they could gain access to the bank the next morning,” the press release reads. “In doing so, they were able to enter the bank and remove an undisclosed amount of cash.”
We’ll add more to the story when the criminal complaints have been filed.
