MILWAUKEE, WI — It’s official, “Dancing Bob Uecker” is back, and the Milwaukee Brewers are going to the playoffs for the second year in a row.
On Wednesday night, the Brewers defeated the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 9-2, effectively sealing Milwaukee a minimum of a one-game Wild Card playoff game versus the Washington Nationals. Milwaukee, if they’re lucky, could still overtake the St. Louis Cardinals for the top spot in the National League Central division.
It was an unlikely climb for the Brew Crew, whose record stood at 71-68 on Sept. 5. They were tied with the New York Mets and were five games behind the Chicago Cubs for the second Wild Card spot in the National League.

Since then, Milwaukee lost its MVP-caliber outfielder Christian Yelich – and then went on a scorching 17-2 run. Milwaukee, which now sits at 88-70, has knocked both the Cubs and Mets out of playoff contention for 2019.
Milwaukee Brewers Postseason Schedule
Milwaukee is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs, however, a number of questions are still to be answered: will Milwaukee earn a Wild Card spot, and if they do, will they host a one-game playoff, or go on the road? Will they get lucky and end up overtaking St. Louis for the NL Central Division title?
Here are the games Milwaukee could play in next week:
Tuesday, Oct. 1
National League wild-card game: Teams TBD, Time TBD (TBS)
Thursday, Oct. 3
NLDS, Game 1: Wild Card Winner at Los Angeles Dodgers, Time TBD (TBS)
NLDS, Game 1: Central Division Champion at Atlanta Braves, Time TBD (TBS)
