Thanks to a $5,000 donation from Modine Manufacturing, the final touches will be installed on the Mitchell Elementary School playground.

After a fire in 2014 damaged the existing playground, the school was awarded a $15,000 “Let’s Play” grant, Mitchell students, their families and the PTA got busy selling personalized bricks to help bridge the $7,500 gap they needed in order to build the new playground.

Unfortunately, there still wasn’t enough money to complete the installation. The donation from Modine means the playground will now be complete, Racine Unified listed in their “Inside Unified” newsletter.
