A man is in critical condition after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, according to a press release by the Caledonia Police Department.

Demeater Legrone, 42, of Racine, was thrown from the motorcycle he was riding in the 6300 block of Douglas Avenue. Legrone suffered serious injuries and was not wearing a helmet.

Legrone was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital-All Saints by rescue workers from the Caledonia Fire Department, then later taken by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital.

Caledonia Police are investigating the cause of the crash and reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses to see if any other cars were involved or caused the crash.
