The names of 75 people with warrants out for their arrest for domestic violence-related infractions were released Monday by the Racine Police Department. The timing of the release is no accident; October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and RAPD wants both the offenders to come in and have their day in court and to reach victims so they can get the help they need. “We believe that domestic violence offenders must be held accountable for their actions,” Racine police Lt. Al Days said in a statement. “We hope to reach out to domestic violence victims and encourage them to break the silence.” More, Days said he wants those who love people in violent relationships to speak up, too. “If you suspect that someone you love is experiencing domestic violence, please reach out to them. Share the 24 hour help line with them and encourage them to come forward for help,” the release continues. For anyone whose name appears on the list below, they can call the courts at (262) 636-3148 and request a walk-in appearance. Once they are given a court date, their warrant is vacated. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of anyone on the list, they can report that location anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at (262) 636-9330, or by texting RACS plus the message to CRIMES (274637) and referring to Tipsoft I.D. #TIP417 with your text message.
