Lifelong Racine resident George D. Fennell highlights Racine’s history through more than 200 photos pulled from the archives of the Racine Heritage Museum. From the city’s founding in 1834, Fennell shares through pictures the area’s rich history and evolution from a sleep harbor community to a manufacturing hub. “I regard this book as a scrapbook history of Racine,” Fennell said in a press release. “I hope that this work will bring back fond memories and inspire the telling of more colorful stories.” Fennell’s book officially goes on sale Sept. 29 through Arcadia Publishing. http://www.arcadiapublishing.com/9781467112192/Racine RelatedRacine Remembers: Our Love Of Drum And Bugle CorpsNovember 18th, 2016In "Breaking"Underground Adventure Returns To Racine Heritage MuseumJanuary 29th, 2014In "Community"Unique art, last chancesOctober 2nd, 2014In "Community"
