A new Mexican restaurant is opening in the former DeRango’s on 3-Mile and Erie on the city’s north side.
Pico’s Tacos & Cerveza, 550 3-Mile Road, is owned and operated by Angela Espinoza, daughter of Bonnie and Ramone Madrigal, owners of Los Mariachis on Washington Avenue, a story in The Journal Times reads.
Pico’s is expected to feature both carry-out and dine-in with the ability to seat between 40 and 50 people, the story continues. Espinoza told the newspaper her menu will feature flavors from several regions of Mexico, and she has applied for a beer and wine license.
“We’re kind of reinventing Mexican food a little bit,” she is quoted as saying. “Like a West Coast/Southwest feel.”
Espinoza goes before the city’s Public Safety and Licensing Committee on Dec. 1 for her alcohol licenses.
