Racine firefighters say no one was injured early Sunday morning in a fire that started in the bedroom of a north side home.

Crews were called at 2:32 a.m. to a home in the 900 block of Geneva Street for a report of a fire in a first floor bedroom. When firefighters arrived, they quickly located the blaze and extinguished it.

The fire was contained to the bedroom and didn’t spread to other areas of the home.

Some of therResidents were asleep at the time of the fire, but were awakened and evacuated the home without injury.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
