Surrounded by the love of her family, Anita Marie McPhee passed away Thursday at her residence following a battle with lung cancer with her daughter by her side. She was born in Racine, October 1, 1954, daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Nee:Jurish) Richter.

Anita graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1972”. She was employed by Wheaton Franciscan All Saints for 10 years as a phlebotomist. Travel and theater were her passion. Her hands were never without yarn and a crochet hook, donating many items to local charities and winning ribbons at the county fair.

Surviving are her children, Faydra (Scott) Mertens, Elizabeth Dehne (Luis Salinas), Jennifer (Daniel) Nettleton, Paul Dehne, Roxanne Georgeson, Renee Dehne; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Terry) Green, John (Dawn) Richter, Brian (Cindy) Richter, MaryRose Ramon; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the Maresh Meredith Funeral Home, 803 Main St., with Reverend Antony Thomas officiating. Relatives and friends may meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, 5600 Holy Cross Rd.
