Charlette Antoinette Mullen, age 94, passed away at home on Wednesday.  Born on August 26, 1922 in Rockford, Illinois to parents Ruth and Paul Rosenquist, Charlette was an inexhaustible source of unconditional love, an ever-shining beacon of faith and hope in Christ, a steadfast example of godly goodness to five generations, and a true blessing to all who knew her.  Demonstrating genuine love, personal interest and devotion to every member of her ever-expanding family, she exemplified strength of character through a sincerely gentle spirit. She had a relentless and contagious affinity for interior decorating which will live on through succeeding generations.

Charlette was proud to be an original member of Harbor Rock Tabernacle and had been a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection for 39 years where she taught Sunday School, belonged to the prayer chain, took part in numerous bible studies and otherwise demonstrated a true servant’s heart. She also participated in the Christian Women’s Club and their bible studies for over 14 years.

Having completed her primary education in Rockford, she went on to attend Iowa State University -Ames, where she was a member of the Alpha Gama Delta sorority, and was subsequently employed at the American Bank in both downtown and uptown Racine, and at Heritage Bank on Washington Avenue.

Charlette was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and cherished friend, Evert Mullen, her son Paul Crist, her sister Connie Nelson, her brother Charles Rosenquist and her former husband Lloyd Crist.

She is survived by her sister Joy Gmeiner of Palm Springs, California, her daughters Holly (Harvey) Rich, Toni (Randy) Savaglio and Cherri (Fritz) Cape, daughter-in-law Charlotte Crist, and grandchildren: Jason (Antoinette) Rich, Aaron (Tami) Rich, Angela (Sean) Veternick, Amy Joy (Frank) Lasee, Noelle (Ross) Lipari, Rachel (Brian) Christman, Britta (Josh) Katt, Micah Savaglio, Charity (Jim) Chiappetta, Heidi Eckblad, Luke Eckblad, Justin (Jill) Crist, Matthew (Cassandra) Crist, Amanda (Steve) Ross; as well as 35 great-grandchildren at last count.

Funeral Services for Charlette will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Harbor Rock Tabernacle, 1015 4 Mile Road. Visitation with the family will be held at 9:30 a.m., just prior to the service and immediately following the service. Private interment at West law Memorial Park will take place at a later time. Memorials to Harbor Rock Tabernacle are suggested.
