The Racine Lutheran family is mourning the passing of former Executive Director/Principal Randy Baganz.

He died Nov. 22 at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer.

Baganz served as executive director/principal of Racine Lutheran High School from 1997 until he retired in 2012.

In his free time, Baganz enjoyed sailing, woodworking and marksmanship, according to his obituary on the Purath-Strand Funeral Home website, and he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Madelyn as well their three sons and a grandson.

“Please pray that his family will find comfort in the certain hope of the resurrection to everlasting life and the joyful reunion with those we love who have died in the faith,” Racine Lutheran posted on their Facebook page.

Visitation for Baganz visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday. Services begin at noon Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4340 Six Mile Road.

The family asks that memorials be sent to Racine Lutheran High School and Prince of Peace Preschool and Childcare Center in Caledonia.
