Gerald J. Spannagle, age 69, died on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center. Gerald grew up in Sheboygan, WI, son of Otto and Edna (Nee: Kaiser) Spannagle.

Gerry attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School in Sheboygan, and Concordia High School and Concordia College in Seward, NE. On July 27, 1968 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan he was married to Linda J. Dietz. He taught for many years at Immanuel Lutheran School in Elmhurst, IL, and Racine Lutheran High School. Changing his career path, he ventured into Restaurant Management working at Ponderosa and Charcoal Grill, retiring in 2008. Gerry was a Packer fan and enjoyed car racing and fishing.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Linda; his mother, Edna Spannagle; brothers, Tom (Sandy) Spannagle, Steve (Amy) Spannagle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark (Nancy) Stinemyer-Dietz, Karl (Jean) Dietz, Kurt Dietz, David (Susanne)Schultz; nephews, Ryan Spannagle, Chris Spannagle; niece, Ronda Van De Loo; beloved dog, Bonzai; other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Otto in 2006.

Private services will be held.
