Racine – Kay Christine Rouse, 73, received the promise of eternal life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Milwaukee on September 22, 1944, daughter of the late Wynn and Frances (nee: Bartlein) Kemnitz.

Kay was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darrel Lee Rouse, on November 16, 1963, in Mapleton, Wisconsin.

Kay was a longtime member of St. Edward Catholic Church. She was very active in politics. Kay was a dedicated breeder of Long-haired Miniature Dachshunds. Her companions, Gus and Gretel, have been with her more than a decade and she adored them very much. Kay also found a passion for coloring books when her health started to fail.
