Patricia R. Foley, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Patricia was born in Manitowoc, WI June 22, 1925, daughter of the late George and Amanda (Nee: Bauman) Murphy. She was at peace and with family.

Pat graduated from St. Catherine High School “Class of 1943.” She worked for the Gorton Machine Company, and in later years called herself one of the “Gorton Girls”. She married Edmund J. Foley at St. Rose Catholic Church in 1949. There are countless memories of family vacations “Up North,” golfing with the girls at Meadowbrook Country Club and Shoop Park, fishing, and wintering in Florida with Ed. Pat and Ed traveled the U. S., Europe, Ireland, and the South Seas. Pat ran the household: from food service to finance.

Together Pat and Ed provided a loving and supportive home for their three children, Kathleen, Michael and Jane. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her daughter, Kathleen (Foley) Carre`, siblings, Catherine, Jane(James) Gilmore/(Harlan) Cisney, Ned (Sylvia) Murphy, Patrick (Patricia) Murphy, Robert (Estelle) Murphy, Richard (Ann) Murphy, and George (Carolyn) Murphy. Surviving are her; son, Michael (Karen) Foley; and daughter, Jane (Robert) Kroencke; four grandchildren, Kathleen and Joseph Foley, Daniel and Michael Kroencke; and additional relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring St., on Monday April 11th, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Patricia’s family suggests memorials to St Catherine’s High School, St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, or to a personally meaningful charity.
