Sharon J. Schwelitz, 70, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Racine, WI went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 10 at her home.

Born on March 18, 1946 in Racine, Sharon was the daughter of Herman and Astrid (Andersen) Knuth. She married William Schwelitz on November 26, 1966. He survives. William and Sharon’s 50th wedding anniversary is this November.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her two sons, Robert W. Schwelitz of Racine, WI, and Greg (Laura) Schwelitz of Chandler, AZ; a daughter, Sarah (Darin) Christman of Monticello, IL; two sisters, Marilyn Duda and Gloria Weiss; and five grandchildren, Jacob Veach, Michael Walker, Ava Schwelitz, Nolan Christman, and Sabrina June Christman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sharon was a homemaker who loved reading, especially the bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

A service to celebrate the life of Sharon Schwelitz will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery-Hwy 32 in Racine, WI. Burial will immediately follow. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
