A woman was injured and taken to the hospital after she failed to yield the right of way and went into oncoming traffic at 11:17 a.m. Monday, according to the Caledonia Police Department.

The woman was driving westbound on Five Mile Road at Highway 38 when she failed to stop at the stop sign and a car traveling southbound on Highway 38 crashed into her.

The driver of the car traveling westbound was injured at taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle and her two children were not injured.

The woman was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign.
