Otisteen Jones, 86, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1932, in Marianna, Arkansas to the late Eddie and Luddie (Nee: Stewart) Jones.
He married Geraldine Cooper on April 25, 1970. Otis worked for the City of Racine for a number of years, before retiring from Ruud Lighting. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and gardening. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Geraldine; his four children, Otis D. Jones, Carolyn (Mark) Cleveland, Brenda Jones, Donny Lee Jones; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
There will be a funeral service held on Friday, January 4, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 1600 Summerset Drive. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Friends and relatives can meet with the family on Thursday at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m.
